Now that you have decided to purchase a DIY Conservatory saving you thousands of pounds you will need to decide how to get it installed. There are three main options available to you:

Swift-Fit Conservatory Installation

We introduced the Swift-Fit service following constant requests from our customers who were asking if we offered an installation service. Whilst installing your own Conservatory can be an immensely rewarding experience many customers want to buy at DIY prices whilst leaving the installation to professionals who have the skills, knowledge, experience and tools to complete the job quickly and efficiently. Swift-Fit is perfect for this type of customer.

We have to say that your service and attention to detail have been exemplary, from yourself with the design and photos, through to the boys that put the conservatory up.

The base system was brilliant. We are in a dorma bungalow, with low soffits and you have to go through the house to get to the garden, hence the base was ideal for us. The boys who put the conservatory up were courteous, and were brilliant.

They cleared up after themselves and left everything as they found it, apart from the conservatory being up of course.

Swift-fit is a service where we will put you in touch with one of our many approved Conservatory installers who will carry out the installation of the Easybase and Conservatory leaving it weather-tight and ready for you to arrange the internal finishes such as plastering, electric & flooring to be completed when your budget and time allows.

Swift-Fit installation will include:

• The preparation of the concrete pads that the Easybase will be erected on
• The erection of the Easybase base/dwarf walls
• The erection of the conservatory
• The installation of the chipboard flooring

The installation will not include any electrical, plumbing or plastering work.

If you are interested in a Swift-Fit price please indicate this in the additional comments section of the Online Quote Request Form. The prices we quote are based upon an Easybase & Conservatory installation but we are more than happy to quote for a conservatory installation onto a conventional base which you have had prepared by a third party. Again please request this option on the Online Quote Request Form.

The payment for the installation will be made to the installer on completion of the job. Swift-Fit really does give you the best of both worlds you buy at DIY Conservatory prices but have it installed by experienced professionals which takes away all the stress and worry leaving you to relax and plan the internal decorations.

DIY Conservatory Installation

The complete DIY Conservatory Kit will include the Easybase and the Conservatory. If you have decided to go with the Easybase you will be supplied with a concrete pad plan approximately three weeks before delivery which will show the exact position and size of concrete pads which will need to be prepared in readiness for your DIY Conservatory Kits arrival.

The conservatory is fantastic! A very rewarding challenge building it, but well worth the effort it in the end!

If you have decided to proceed with a conventional concrete base and dwarf walls you will need to get a professional builder to prepare the base for you. For information of where you can find a reputable builder please see the ‘Find a builder’ section below or click the link in the resource centre. Swift Conservatory Solutions will provide you with base/dwarf wall plans as soon as you have placed your deposit. These can be passed to your chosen builder to ensure that he constructs the base to perfectly suit the DIY Conservatory you have ordered.

The Conservatory & Easybase are supplied with separate comprehensive installation guides. We recommend that you take the time to read the instructions thoroughly before you commence the build to familiarise yourself with the construction process. It is always beneficial to make a list of questions as you read through and then call the helpline number which is outlined in the manual to get clarification from the supplier of any issues you are unclear about.

I was pretty nervous and rather daunted when taking on this project but erecting both the base and the conservatory proved to be much easier than anticipated with the very clear step by step instruction manual.

On average, a competent DIY enthusiast along with a helping hand will complete the Easybase in one day and then an average sized Edwardian Conservatory in a further two days. A DIY project can save you thousands whilst at the same time being a very enjoyable and immensely rewarding experience.

Find A Builder To Install Your DIY Conservatory

A third option for getting your DIY Conservatory installed would be to find a local builder who will build the base & dwarf walls to the dimensions which Swift Conservatory Solutions will supply then install the Conservatory for you. It is vital that the external walls are built to the exact dimensions supplied on the plans to ensure a problem free Conservatory Installation.

Unfortunately over the years the building industry has received some negative press, this can make finding a suitable builder a little daunting. However, Federation Of Master Builders is a comprehensive site which covers things such as ‘avoiding cowboy builders’ to a National Register of Warranted Builders.

As an alternative to a conventional base you may want to speak to your builder about installing an Easybase on your behalf. Why have large excavations in your garden, builders on site for days and skips outside your house when you could have just a few concrete pads and a base and dwarf wall constructed in just one day?
